As we get ready for our first dance rehearsal this Saturday, I wanted to pass this document on to each of you.
Here you will find a break out of the songs and dances that are in the show. You will be able to see which characters are singing the song, which dances your character is REQUIRED to be in, as well as the dances that you absolutely can’t be in.
This year is a little different than last year in the sense that main character have to take part in certain numbers for them to make sense! As we get into rehearsal, there might be a few small changes but for the most part there shouldn’t be a lot of changes.
You are responsible for knowing what dance numbers you can and can’t be in. Please don’t put the choreographers in a bind by 1) not ever showing up to a dance rehearsal for a number you have to know/be in and 2) learning a dance, only to realize the week before the show you can’t be in it! If you ever have a question about what dances you have to be in/can or can’t be in please get with Dorothy Blackman to figure that out.
